Computer room dynamic environment monitoring: temperature and humidity, mains power, water leakage and smoke detector access

Why is dynamic environment monitoring needed
The video surveillance system itself is a means of protecting the "surveilled objects", but its own computer room environment is often unattended. High temperature of the hard disk, water leakage from the air conditioner, abnormality of the mains power - these problems will not immediately cause the system to collapse. But it can significantly shorten equipment life in a matter of weeks or months, or it can be concentrated during a power outage.

Access method
- Switch/analog signals such as temperature, humidity, water leakage, and smoke are collected through the dynamic loop monitoring host.
- Smart devices such as UPS and precision air conditioners directly read status through SNMP or manufacturer protocols, which is much more accurate than external sensors.
- Old equipment without smart interfaces can be retrofitted with smart power meters + serial port servers.
Alarms must be closed loop
The sensor is installed but no one handles the alarm, which means it is not installed. Key points:
- Alarm classification: High temperature is an early warning (handled during working hours), water leakage and smoke are emergency (immediate response).
- Multi-channel notifications: SMS/phone + platform pop-ups. You cannot rely solely on platform pop-ups (you will not receive them if no one is logged in).
- Set alarm confirmation and processing records to facilitate tracing whether the response was timely.
- Do regular alarm tests: unplug a sensor or trigger a test to verify that the entire link is available.
