Ping An Campus Video Surveillance Overall Solution
Full-scenario campus security covering the school gate, perimeter, teaching buildings, canteens, dormitories, and sports fields supports docking with the Education Bureau’s supervision platform to achieve closed-loop management of “prevention beforehand, handling during the incident, and traceability afterward” to build a visible sense of security for teachers and students.

Safe campus · XLD overall solution
Project background
Campus safety is a major concern of society. As the Ministry of Education continues to improve safety precautions for primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, schools need to implementcivil defense, physical defense, Technical defenseMeet the standard in three aspects. Xinlaida Security combines many years of implementation experience in the education industry to launch a full-scenario video surveillance overall solution for campus scenes.
Design principles
- No blind spots covered: The school gate, perimeter, main passages, stairwells, canteens, dormitories, and key areas of the playground are all covered.
- Graded authorization: Different roles of principal, security office, class teacher, and parents correspond to different viewing permissions.
- Alarm linkage: The intrusion alarm automatically pops up and links broadcasting, lighting, and access control.
- Easy maintenance: The device supports PoE power supply and remote upgrade, and faults are automatically reported.
Typical deployment points
| Region | Device Type | Deployment Key Points |
|---|---|---|
| School gate | Face recognition camera + license plate recognition unit | Covering pedestrian passages and roadways, two-way recognition |
| Perimeter fence | Infrared security network camera | One every 50–80 meters, with intelligent cross-border analysis |
| Teaching building corridor | 2 million network dome cameras | Ceiling installation with floor height less than 3 meters, spacing 15–20 meters |
| Canteen back kitchen | Special camera for bright kitchen and bright stove | Covering four areas of rough processing, cooking, meal preparation and decontamination |
| dormitory corridors | network dome camera | key coverage of entrances, exits and stairwells |
| Playground/Sports Ground | High-definition high-speed ball machine | Supports automatic cruise and crowd density analysis |

Inquire about the program View all casesIndustry pain points
We design strategies to deal with these practical problems one by one
People entering and exiting the school are cluttered, and it is difficult to detect strangers following them into the school
There is a large flow of people at the school gate during peak hours, and it is difficult for manual guards to identify abnormal situations such as tailgating and swiping on behalf of others.
The campus has a long perimeter and many blind spots, making it impossible to provide timely warning of intrusions
The fence stretches for hundreds of meters, and the lighting at night is poor. Traditional video recording can only be used to collect evidence afterwards.
The kitchen in the canteen is opaque, and the cost of trust between parents and regulatory authorities is high
The operation of the kitchen is not standardized and difficult to supervise, and there is a lack of visual evidence
There is a lack of one-click reporting channel for emergencies
Teachers and students cannot seek help quickly when they are in danger, and the processing time is delayed
Multiple campuses and multiple systems work independently, and data cannot be unified
Equipment and platforms from different manufacturers are not connected to each other, and management costs are high
System architecture
Safe campusSecurity system layered design
The solution adopts the "front-end sensing + network transmission + central platform + linked processing" four-layer architecture:
- Perception layer: Face recognition cameras and license plate recognition units are deployed at the school gate, infrared warning cameras are deployed at the perimeter, and teaching buildings/dormitory corridors are deployed Network dome cameras, dedicated cameras for bright kitchens and stoves are deployed in the canteen, and one-touch alarm buttons are deployed in classrooms.
- Transmission layer: Core switches + aggregation switches form a Gigabit backbone, and front-end access uses PoE power supply to reduce wiring costs.
- Platform layer: NVR + streaming media server + digital matrix to realize video storage, real-time preview, wall-based patrol and multi-campus cascading.
- Application layer: Campus security management platform supports permission classification, alarm linkage, mobile preview and Education Bureau platform data reporting.
All recordings adopt local storage + central backup double insurance, and important areas will be retained for no less than 90 days to meet the inspection requirements of the education authorities.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Safe campus solution
How long can video data be saved?
Key areas (school gate, perimeter, canteen) shall be no less than 90 days, and ordinary areas shall be no less than 30 days, and can be expanded as needed.
Do you support parents in checking the canteen kitchen?
Support. Specified camera permissions can be opened to parents, which can only be viewed but not played back, taking into account both transparency and privacy.
Can it be connected to the Education Bureau/Public Security platform?
Yes. The solution reserves GB/T 28181 to interface with mainstream supervision platforms and supports reporting of video and alarm data as required.
Will construction affect normal teaching?
Does not affect. Wiring should make best use of existing weak current wells and summer vacation/weekend window construction, and the installation of front-end equipment will not affect the teaching order.
