Project background

Eight key road sections in the main urban area have been affected by illegal parking and occupied lanes for a long time, and the traffic efficiency during the morning and evening peaks has been significantly suppressed. Due to the limited coverage of manual patrol law enforcement, the management department decided to build an automatic evidence collection system.

Construction organization

LinkArrangement
Road occupation approvalSubmit for approval 15 days in advance, and the intersections will be divided into batches
Foundation pouringComplete at night, cover with soil immediately after the curing period during the day
Grapple liftingOperation after 22:30, set up reflective cones and full-time safety personnel
Online debuggingConducted remotely during the day without affecting road traffic

Performance

Within half a year after the system went online, the proportion of illegal parking on key road sections dropped by about 70%. The average traffic speed is increased by about 35%, while the pressure of manual patrols is significantly reduced.

Project difficulties

Issues that need to be addressed during project advancement

Construction requires road occupation, and night operation time is limited

Main roads cannot close lanes during the day

Existing poles at some intersections cannot bear load

Newly added equipment needs to be erected independently and undergo structural verification

Low recognition rate in strong light environment at night

Overexposure caused by oncoming car lights

Data needs to be uploaded to the superior platform in a standard format

The docking work involves the coordination of multiple vendors

solution

Technical and construction measures taken to address the above difficulties

Adopt phased night-time road occupation construction

Construction will be carried out every night from 22:30 to 05:30, and traffic warnings will be issued two days in advance

Added new members for stress verification

26 sets of new 8-meter monitoring poles for wind load verification

The bayonet uses a dedicated camera for license plates + stroboscopic fill light

The night recognition rate remains above 98%

Networking according to GB/T 28181 standard

Unify time and space benchmarks to avoid confusion in the bill of quantities at each intersection
