A museum cultural relics security and digital construction project
A deep protection system is built around the exhibition hall, warehouse, cultural relic restoration room and building periphery, combining infrared curtains, vibration detection and low-light imaging to take into account the environmental requirements for anti-theft and cultural relic protection.

Project background
The museum contains more than 20,000 cultural relics, including more than 3,000 precious cultural relics. The original system is very old. It does not meet the current cultural relics safety requirements in terms of illumination, storage, and permissions.
Heritage-friendly design concept
- No light source: All use starlight-level equipment to avoid photochemical damage to calligraphy, painting, and textiles caused by additional lighting.
- No damage: The wire ducts are all exposed and decorated with imitation colors. The construction is reversible and does not damage the historical buildings.
- Depth protection: Four levels of defense: perimeter - perimeter - exhibition hall - showcase, with independent alarms and records at each level.
- Dual-person control: Two persons must swipe their cards to enter the warehouse, and the video will automatically mark the opening and allow passage.
Acceptance evaluation
The project passed the special security inspection by the cultural relics authority and was deemed to have "achieved a good balance between cultural relics protection and safety."

Issues that need to be addressed during project advancement
The lighting in the exhibition hall is dim and cultural relics need to be protected
No visible light sources can be added, and infrared damage to the paintings must be avoided
The warehouse implements double-person and double-lock management
access control, personnel and video must be strictly linked
Large-scale calligraphy and painting cultural relics require detailed forensics
Face forensics in display cabinets require high clarity
The building is an existing structure and wiring is limited
The historical building itself cannot be damaged.
