Project background

The industrial park integrates 3,200 acres of planting area and large-scale breeding buildings, and the products have export business needs. The park management hopes to solve three things at the same time: theft and disaster prevention, production records, and export traceability through video means.

Low-cost large-area coverage

  1. The planting area uses LoRa + wireless bridge hybrid backhaul with a small number of households to avoid long-distance excavation and wiring.
  2. Field sites without reliable mains power use a solar + lithium battery solution with 4 days of continuous rainy life.
  3. The breeding house adopts IP69K anti-corrosion sealed model, which can withstand daily high-pressure washing.
  4. Videos are archived in batches and together with IoT sensor data form a traceability chain.

Performance

After going online, agricultural material theft incidents dropped by about 90%. And it has become an important supporting material for the park to pass the traceability review of exported agricultural products.

Project difficulties

Issues that need to be addressed during project advancement

The park area is large and the points are scattered

The cost of traditional wired solutions is too high

The ammonia concentration in the breeding house is high and humid

The risk of equipment corrosion and seal failure is high

It is difficult to manually supervise farmland and firewood at night

Agricultural supplies are stolen from time to time

Agricultural product exports need to meet traceability requirements

key links need to have verifiable video evidence

solution

Technical and construction measures taken to address the above difficulties

Using LoRa + wireless bridge hybrid networking

Reduce the cost and construction difficulty of large-area wiring

The breeding house adopts anti-corrosion sealed camera

IP69K shield, which can withstand high-pressure washing and ammonia environment

Comprehensive intrusion management is adopted for perimeters and agricultural supplies warehouses

Intrusions at night are immediately driven away with sound and light and pushed to the person in charge

180-day archiving of key production link videos

Supports tracing back to the entire process of planting, harvesting, and warehousing by batch
