Perimeter prevention and access control linkage project of an electronic technology industrial park
For an industrial park covering an area of 120,000 square meters, we built perimeter infrared warning, intelligent dome camera linkage tracking, face recognition channels and a central digital matrix wall-mounted system, significantly reducing the false alarm rate.

Project background
The industrial park covers an area of about 120,000 square meters, houses 18 companies, and has about 3,500 registered employees. The original perimeter adopts infrared radiation. Due to the dense greenery around the park and the frequent activities of small animals, an average of more than 20 false alarms per day, security personnel gradually lost trust in the alarm. Create management loopholes. In March 2023, the park management decided to carry out a comprehensive technical defense upgrade.
Key points of technical solutions
- Perimeter perception reconstruction: Use infrared warning cameras to replace traditional through-beam cameras, with built-in humanoid detection algorithms. The alarm is only triggered for "moving targets with human characteristics".
- Alarm linkage tracking: After the alarm is triggered, the platform automatically calls the nearest smart dome camera to steer to the incident point and perform automatic tracking. Simultaneous recording of marked events.
- Channel control upgrade: Pedestrian passages have been changed from card swiping to face swiping, supporting mask recognition and live anti-counterfeiting; Visitors are temporarily authorized to pass through the QR code.
- Network reliability: The perimeter front-end is connected through an industrial-grade optical fiber ring network, and single-point fiber breakage does not affect the overall communication.
Implementation difficulties and solutions
| Difficulties | Countermeasures |
|---|---|
| There are no weak current wells along the perimeter | Using solar + battery power supply solution to cover the 300-meter section without mains electricity |
| Normal production in the park during construction | Construction will be divided into sections. Report to the park before construction every day to avoid affecting freight traffic |
| The false alarm tuning cycle is long | After going online, on-site tuning was performed for 2 consecutive weeks, and the detection sensitivity and area were adjusted step by step |
Customer testimonials
The person in charge of security in the park said: "After the renovation, the alarms can basically match the real situation, and the staff on duty are willing to watch the alarms carefully. This is the biggest change. ”
Project difficulties
Issues that need to be addressed during project advancement
The original infrared radio had a high false alarm rate, and security was struggling to cope with it
Affected by small animals, leaves and weather, more than 20 false alarms were reported every day
The perimeter stretches for 1.6 kilometers, making it difficult to cover with manual patrols
There is insufficient lighting at night, and there are blind spots and time differences in patrols
People are concentrated in and out of the morning and evening peak hours, and the traffic efficiency is low
The card swiping method is slow and the queues are serious
Freight vehicles and employees mix, which poses safety risks
Separation of people and vehicles is not implemented, and forklifts and pedestrians intersect.
solution
Technical and construction measures taken to address the above difficulties
The perimeter is switched to infrared security cameras + intelligent analysis
filtering interference from small animals and leaves through humanoid detection, reducing the false alarm rate to less than 1 per week
Cross-border alarm automatically links to the nearest smart dome camera
After receiving the alarm, the dome camera will turn to the location of the incident within 3 seconds and automatically track and capture
Face recognition gates are deployed at 4 entrances and exits
Employees scan their faces to pass, and the average passing time is shortened to 1.5 seconds
Renovation of pedestrian and vehicle diversion
separation of freight channels and pedestrian channels, separate monitoring and warnings for forklift channels
The center is equipped with a 32-way digital matrix on the wall
a large screen in the security duty room patrols 24 hours a day, and the corresponding screen will automatically pop up when alarming
Project results
Actual operating data after the system goes online
Main equipment list
This project mainly uses equipment (XLD is mainly self-developed)
- Infrared security network cameras — 42 units, distributed along the fence, about 40 meters apart
- High-speed intelligent dome cameras — 10 units, used for linked tracking and key area cruising
- Face recognition channel gate — 8 channels, supports live detection
- 32-channel digital matrix — 1 unit, supports HDMI on the wall and planned patrol
- Industrial-grade optical fiber switches — 6 units, forming a self-healing ring network
- Perimeter sound and light alarms — 8 units, linked to the alarm
